Liev's Star
and other assorted gifts...
Take him and cut him out in little stars
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.
Romeo & Juliet (Act III, Scene 2)
For Liev's 31st birthday on October 4, 1998, some of us went in together and registered a star in Liev's name with the
International Star
Registry.

For the Holidays 1998, the same group went in to present Liev
with a stained glass star. We wanted to keep in theme with his newly named Star
in the Sky. (picture pending). Although I seem to have forever lost the film and
do not have a photo of the item, the star was hand-made by a Florida artist in
wonderful water and sun-toned colors. We also put together a little webpage
to share some of our Holiday memories with Liev.

Liev's 32nd Birthday (October 4, 1999) saw yet another
presentation of a glass star, this one clear mutli-faceted and also made by a
Florida artist. It's kinda hard to take a photo of something clear, but the
photo to the right should give you some idea of what we bought. |

For
the Holidays 1999 a wonderful group of Liev's admirers pitched in to buy him a
large piece of uncut amethyst (Many thanks to Cynthia, who was able to get us
quite a deal via her company). For those of you who may enjoy metaphysical
symbolism:
The energy of this stone clears the crown chakra allowing the person to draw
light energy and divine guidance into their energy systems. Purple is the ray
of the divine mind and royalty have traditionally used this color to symbolize
their role as the embodiment of the will of the divine. |
With another year came another birthday for Liev. Instead of the usual gift, we put together a
webpage
to wish Liev a happy 33rd Birthday.
 |
For
the Holiday 2000 season we came together to send Liev an amazing Swarovski star candleholder,
as well as a cozy sweater for Chicken and a a couple of tasty chew
toys (also for Chicken). Many thanks to Cami for doing the bulk of the
legwork this year -- not to mention incurring all extra costs. She is
an angel.

For Liev's 34th Birthday on October 4, 2001 we banded together
and were able to make a sizable donation to the Working Playground children's
charity. We also sent along a card:
