Liev was nominated by the Hollywood
Foreign Press Association at the 57th Annual Golden Globe Awards for his
performance as Orson Welles in RKO 281. Though Liev lost to Jack
Lemmon in his category, Best
Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for TV, the GG
nomination set the pace for the rest of the year and we have since seen Liev
nominated for various other awards for the same role.
RKO 281 did win
in its category, Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture made for Television.
