information on Biography and Filmography:
What's Liev's full name?
- Isaac Liev Schreiber. Refer to this link for the
story behind his name.
When was Liev born?
- Liev was born October 4, 1967 in San Francisco, California. He was raised,
though, in New York City for the most part.
How tall is Liev?
What color are his eyes?
Sometimes they look blue, and other times green
- Liev has brown hair and blue eyes, though as a child his mother has said he
was a blonde. His hair is naturally curly.
Is Liev married/dating?
- Liev is dating actress Naomi Watts.
Is Liev gay?
- Well, every time I have seen him he sure looks pretty happy to me.....ok, I
know what you want to hear. I can quote Liev as saying (from his mouth to my
ear), "I love girls." Also, in an interview with Generation J
magazine he is quoted as saying:
GenerationJ: There are rumors that you were
gay.
LS: Oh, really? That people speculate, there's
nothing you can do. I do have a lot of gay friends.
GenerationJ: You like both men and women?
LS: No, no. One of the great misfortunes of my
life is how much I love women. It's terrible. I really don't think there is
anything better than women. There really isn't.
Does Liev really post to the
forum?
- Sometimes. He has in the past posted under the name "Cotton", and
very rarely as Liev. And yes, I can personally vouch for the fact that I have
verified his posting with him. It's really him -- without doubt. He likes to
be in communication with his fans when he has the time to get onto the
internet.
Where can I find the film Baggage
and His and Hers?
- As far as I know you cannot. I am pretty sure Baggage was never picked up
for distribution. It is a short film done without sync sound as a favor for
his friend, the writer/director Cara Buono. His and Hers did show at
several film festival, but I have never heard of it being released or even
shown on IFC or Sundance.
Liev is often listed as part of the cast
for Pay It Forward, but I never see him in the movie. What's the deal?
- Liev was indeed originally cast in the role of the reporter. Jay Mohr
eventually played the role. Contract issues seem to be the issue that most
sources site as to why he was never seen onscreen.
